SPF Board President Dr. Lonnie Rowell received the Lifetime Achievement Award in School Counseling Leadership from the San Diego County Office of Education on Friday, May 12, 2023. The  award was given as a part of the County Office’s annual Honoring Excellence in School Counseling Leadership gathering. The award was presented by Tanya Bulette, Counseling Coordinator for the San Diego County Office of Education and was preceded by a Welcoming Address by Dr. Paul Gothold, San Diego County Superintendent of Schools. Rowell was recognized for his achievements as a counselor educator at the University of San Diego  and for his innovative and impactful work in school counseling advocacy and leadership development in San Diego County and throughout California.
