My current role as a Key Stage2 Phase Leader (Year 3 to 6) and Year 6 Class Teacher in a primary school serving an Oxfordshire area of significant socio-economic deprivation, has given me invaluable experience of working within a challenging learning community. As a Maths Leader, I successfully established a new approach in teaching Maths at my school, and a year later my leadership responsibilities expanded into leading the KS2 phase. Prior to my tenure as an education professional in the UK, I also gained five years of teaching experience in various settings in Greece. As a life-long learner myself, I have recently accomplished my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Management (University of Nottingham, UK). During my studies, I was intrigued by the topics for research, as they were relevant to my practice. My main educational research and practice interests are: Teacher personal and professional growth, agency, effective leadership, development and learning, school and organisational development and improvement.
