I was born and raised in Fremont, California and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Minor in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University in 2014. My interest in pursing a career in school counseling was influenced by my educational studies as well as my experience in the public school system. After college, I worked for a non-profit mental health agency for two years, working with emotionally disturbed students in school-based program. During this time I supported students in the classroom by providing behavioral interventions and assisting them in emotional regulation and classroom functioning. I am expected to graduate from California State University, East Bay this June with a Masters of Science in Counseling, PPS credential as well as the opportunity to pursue my Marriage and Family Therapy license.
