I am an educationist with a background of teaching History, Sociology and Global Politics in International Schools in Kenya. I currently a tutor at the International University Pathways College in Nairobi, where I teach teach Sociology and Global Studies, preparing scholars for the International Foundation Year pre-University qualification. My interest to venture into practitioner research stems from the experience I had as a student at the University of Nottingham pursuing the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (International) in 2019/2020, and currently an MA Education still at the University of Nottingham. Action research and practitioner inquiry are essential drivers of change in education, specifically in influencing leadership and classroom practice for teachers. By participating in such an exercise, I hope to influence the manner in which educators perceive a wide range of aspects of educational leadership and classroom practice.
