I have been teaching for fourteen years and a Head of Department for the last twelve in schools within London, Sri Lanka and Brazil. I have been completing my MA in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of Nottingham for the last two years, and have fully embraced the return to being ‘in education’. My areas of interest include the value and importance of vision setting in educational institutions, the role of digital technology in transforming education in the 21st century, and the importance of understanding teacher well-being in international schools. I am passionate about the value of action research and qualitative research methods due to an interest in the nature of critiquing our ways of knowing what we know. My next move is onto Lisbon later this year to take up a Senior Leadership post, where I hope to continue my passions of educational research and golf.
