I am a SEND teacher working with students with a variety of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. I have predominantly worked in special education since qualifying as a teacher in 2008. I have worked with a variety of different types of SEND which young people today experience. I have completed different higher education courses with a focus upon SEND, Educational Leadership, AfL, reflective practice and teaching pedagogy. I do also have a particular interest in mental health too. In the near future, I intend to begin my doctoral studies but I am unsure of the specific focus which my studies will be focused upon but my current preference would be to research mental health prevalence and impacts within an educational setting.
