I am a secondary English teacher in Denver, CO, currently pursuing my Master’s in Critical Pedagogy and Instruction at the University of Colorado Denver. Using my classroom experiences to guide my research, I primarily focus my studies on matters of literacy, communication, collaboration, and other 21st-century skills. I’m driven by a curiosity toward how writing, rhetoric, and technical communication best practices at the secondary level can be a springboard for career or higher educational opportunities. Underlying all my research is a commitment to uncovering equitable classroom practices that help put all students on a level playing field regardless of the skills they arrive in my classroom with.
